What is Disease?

by David Klein, Ph.D.

From Living Nutrition vol. 5

Several billion times each day humanity repeats two mistakes which are largely responsible for every problem our species and planet faces. The first is cooking our food. The second is thinking of our psychological and physical problems as “diseases”, and taking drug “treatments” as if “disease” is a condition or entity that needs to be fixed or fought off. While most people believe that these are the proper things to do, nature does not agree.

The second mistake, concerning disease, is perhaps the most difficult of all health-related concepts. What is disease, where does disease come from, and what is the proper course to follow when we become diseased?
