Several billion times each day humanity repeats two mistakes which are largely responsible for every problem our species and planet faces. The first is cooking our food. The second is thinking of our psychological and physical problems as “diseases”, and taking drug “treatments” as if “disease” is a condition or entity that needs to be fixed or fought off. While most people believe that these are the proper things to do, nature does not agree.
In Living Nutrition we are teaching that eating a 100% raw food diet and allowing the body to heal itself without intervention are two of the most important keystones of healthful living. Those who are habituated in the two mistakes may find the raw food diet concept easier to grasp than the natural healing concept. After all, there is the example of animals in nature eating only raw foods. We also have the examples of most of the Living Nutrition staff thriving on a 100% raw food diet (three of us have eaten 100% raw for the last 6, 21 and 46 years), and many (but not enough!) of our friends thriving on 100% raw foods. The second mistake, concerning disease, is perhaps the most difficult of all health-related concepts.
